Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos forced-combat and group-slug control deck helmed by Kardur, Doomscourge. Its strategy revolves around manipulating combat phases to force opponents into attacking each other while punishing them with life drain. The deck uses on-curve mana rocks and card advantage spells to establish early stability. On Turn 4, casting Kardur goads the entire board and sets up life drain whenever attacking creatures die. In the mid-to-late game, the deck deploys high-impact attrition engines such as Kaervek the Merciless, Archfiend of Depravity, and Dictate of the Twin Gods to close out the game against depleted life totals. The deck features versatile spot removal and sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Rakdos Charm, though it relies primarily on natural draws due to an absence of nonland tutors. It excels at punishing creature-heavy boards and directing aggression away from itself.
