Deck overview

This deck is a focused Dimir Zombie Aristocrats strategy commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. It generates continuous card advantage and token material by converting nontoken Zombies into decayed tokens and drawing cards on each end step. The early game focuses on developing mana rocks, establishing early Zombie drops, and filling the graveyard using Entomb, Buried Alive, or self-mill. In the mid-game, the deck leverages asymmetric board control through Grave Pact, Noxious Ghoul, and recursive sacrifice effects to suppress opposing creature boards. Victory is achieved through compact aristocrat combos, primarily looping Gravecrawler with Phyrexian Altar and a life-loss payoff such as Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher, or Vengeful Dead. Backup win conditions include Mikaeus, the Unhallowed persist loops, Rooftop Storm value waves, and heavy Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain.
