What Are You Doing Step Sergeant? by StinkyDinkles

Format: Commander

Commander: Sergeant John Benton

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a hyper-aggressive Selesnya Voltron strategy helmed by Sergeant John Benton. The game plan is to deploy the commander as early as possible-thanks to a very low curve and dense fast mana-then pump him with a massive suite of one-mana pump spells, grant double strike, and trample over opponents for lethal commander damage. John's ability draws a huge number of cards each time he connects, refueling the hand for the next kill. The deck also includes a robust protection package (Legolas's Quick Reflexes, Tyvar's Stand, Teferi's Protection) and a few stax effects (Grand Abolisher, Meekstone) to ensure the combat phase goes uninterrupted. The primary win condition is commander damage via a pumped John with double strike; backup threats include Inkmoth Nexus poison and a small beatdown suite.
