Deck overview

Scion of the Ur-Dragon is a five-color combo-tutor commander. The main plan is to use Scion's {2} activation to put Worldgorger Dragon into the graveyard, reanimate it with Animate Dead or Necromancy, generate infinite mana, then have Scion copy Hellkite Charger and chain combat steps for commander damage. A secondary line uses Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind or Parun with Curiosity/Ophidian Eye as a draw-ping combo; The Ur-Dragon and Scourge of Valkas provide an aggressive fallback. The Ur-Dragon is effectively a hidden payoff: Scion can become it and gain eminence/attack value, but the deck is built to use Scion's shapeshifting-tutor engine rather than the other face.
