Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed Boros Equipment Voltron build centered on Lightning, Army of One. It focuses on cheating equip costs and accelerating combat damage. Lightning enters as a 3/2 with first strike, trample, and lifelink, but her signature Stagger ability doubles all damage dealt to a player after she connects. By leveraging equipment tutors like Stoneforge Mystic and free equip enablers like Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, Forge Anew, and Puresteel Paladin, the deck quickly attaches game-ending weapons like Colossus Hammer. Secondary damage amplifiers such as Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and extra combat steps turn single-target commander damage into whole-table eliminations. High-tier protective spells such as Teferi's Protection, Deflecting Swat, and Flawless Maneuver defend your board during critical combat turns. If combat stalls, the deck can assemble an infinite combat loop using Aurelia, the Warleader and Helm of the Host.
