Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs go-wide token generation with cost reduction to fuel explosive spellslinging and aristocrat finishes. Led by Witherbloom, the Balancer, the deck deploys low-cost mana dorks and token generators during the opening turns to rapidly lower the casting cost of its commander. Once Witherbloom enters the battlefield, all instant and sorcery spells gain affinity for creatures. This enables high-impact plays, massive draw bursts through Plumb the Forbidden, and an infinite token combo with Sprout Swarm. By casting Sprout Swarm with buyback during the end step before your turn, you tap the newly created tokens via convoke to generate millions of Saprolings and immediately attack for lethal damage. If the primary combo is unavailable, independent threats like Beledros Witherbloom, Scute Swarm, and Maha, Its Feathers Night combined with life-draining aristocrat pieces ensure consistent pressure across the table.
