Deck overview

This mono-red burn deck is commanded by Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, turning every minor instance of red noncombat damage into 4 or more damage per opponent. By combining dense suites of 1–2 CMC creature pingers (Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage, Kessig Flamebreather) with cheap red cantrips, sweepers, and group-slug enchantments (Manabarbs, Roiling Vortex, Burning Earth), the deck rapidly scales low-cost spells into catastrophic table-wide life loss. The commander sits in the command zone to guarantee access to the damage replacement engine, while high functional redundancy in the 99 ensures opening hands consistently find mana, pingers, and trigger spells. Punisher pieces tax opponents for taking ordinary game actions like tapping lands or drawing cards, forcing them to burn through their life totals to mount answers. When uninterrupted, the deck presents a lethal onset on Turn 5 and closes the game across all three opponents by Turn 6.
