Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is built around gaining life incrementally, turning that life total into raw card advantage, and draining the entire table. Helmed by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel, the deck leverages low-cost lifegain engines such as Soul Warden, Blind Obedience, and Creeping Bloodsucker to trigger the commander's draw ability repeatedly. Once the card engine is online, it rapidly digs into lethal payoff pieces like Psychosis Crawler, Enduring Tenacity, Defiling Daemogoth, and Aetherflux Reservoir. The deck features robust spot removal and sweepers to keep opposing aggressive and combo strategies in check, alongside light stax pieces that slow down fast creature boards. While it does not utilize infinite combos or fast positive-mana rocks, its compounding card flow and redundant drain outlets give it immense late-game inevitability and high resiliency against attrition.
