Deck overview

This Boros deck is an exhibition build designed around the lore and mechanics of Ajani, featuring numerous versions of the planeswalker alongside Cat tribal synergies and life-gain triggers. Led by Ajani, Nacatl Pariah, the strategy seeks to deploy early Cat threats, transform Ajani into his planeswalker side, and flood the battlefield with Cat tokens. Support cards like Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Leonin Warleader, and Regal Caracal generate creature tokens, while planeswalkers such as Ajani Goldmane, Ajani Steadfast, and Ajani, Inspiring Leader bolster them with +1/+1 counters and keyword buffs. While resilient to targeted aggression thanks to continuous lifegain, the deck runs a deliberate, battlecruiser-style curve that relies on combat steps over several turns to close out games. Its interaction package features flavorful single-target burn and exile effects rather than high-efficiency competitive interaction.
