Deck overview

Olag and Miau, New Friends leads an aggressive dual-kindred Abzan deck that blends Cat and Zombie synergies with aristocrat-style life drain. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient early creatures and token generators from both tribes. When a Zombie enters, it places +1/+1 counters on Cats, and when a Cat enters, it buffs Zombies. At each of your end steps, the commander drains all opponents for life equal to the number of tapped Cats and Zombies you control. Supported by ten low-cost ramp spells, the deck reliably deploys Olag on Turn 4 and establishes a must-answer board on Turn 5 using amplifiers like Sovereign Okinec Ahau, Skyhunter Strike Force, or Felidar Retreat. The deck protects its wide board with phased and indestructible responses, maintains card flow through engines like Kutzil and Skullclamp, and finishes the table around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat damage combined with unavoidable group life loss.
