Deck overview

This deck is a Jund attrition midrange engine commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, engineered to weaponize -1/-1 counters, wither, and blight mechanics. The deck develops mana on early turns, deploys its commander on Turn 4, and unleashes sweeping counter distribution starting on Turn 5. Every counter placed on opposing creatures drains their controllers' life totals, while counters placed on your own creatures draw extra cards. Powerful synergy pieces like Kulrath Knight lock down opposing boards entirely, while Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses generate vast armies of tokens to overrun the table. Removal like Fire Covenant and Black Sun's Zenith double as offensive life-drain engines under Auntie Ool. Although the deck lacks stack interaction and direct tutoring, its dense functional redundancy, potent creature denial, and recurring card flow grind opponents out of resources and seal victory around Turn 8.
