Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mardu aggro-burn deck commanded by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. The strategy focuses on curving low-cost mana rocks into an early Isshin, quickly followed by premiere attack-triggered token creators such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Hero of Bladehold, and Hanweir Garrison. By doubling every attack trigger, Isshin rapidly floods the battlefield with tapped-and-attacking tokens. The deck converts this wide creature board into unavoidable, non-combat table-wide lethal damage using ETB and attack-drain engines like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Mishra, Claimed by Gix, Warleader's Call, and Commissar Severina Raine. With cards like Dolmen Gate and Reconnaissance ensuring safe attacks, the deck consistently presents a Turn 5 must-answer onset and closes games on Turn 6 while bypassing traditional creature-blocking defenses.
