Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis combat-spellslinger strategy helmed by Fire Lord Azula. The game plan revolves around deploying Azula and attacking to generate burst mana through firebending while automatically copying every instant spell cast during the combat phase. Low-cost pump spells like Titan's Strength, Rush of Adrenaline, and Cunning Maneuver provide doubled power boosts and trample, while cantrips like Expedite and Fleeting Distraction refill the hand efficiently. Synergistic payoffs such as Balmor, Battlemage Captain, Firebrand Archer, Erebor Flamesmith, and Vivi Ornitier convert every cast into wide team buffs and indirect table burn. While the deck boasts explosive damage potential during combat, it operates with standard acceleration, lacks dedicated tutors and countermagic, and relies heavily on keeping its commander on the battlefield to maintain momentum.
