Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Food Aristocrats engine commanded by Ygra, Eater of All. Ygra passively turns all other creatures into Food artifacts, establishing devastating synergies with artifact removal, sacrifice triggers, and aristocrat drain effects. The primary plan accelerates mana using 1- and 2-mana ramp pieces to cast Ygra on Turn 4. On Turn 5, the deck leverages mass artifact destruction such as Bane of Progress to wipe opposing creatures while massively inflating Ygra into a lethal combat threat. Aristocrat payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Blood Artist punish every sacrifice and death across the board. The deck also includes a compact infinite combo between Peregrin Took and Experimental Confectioner to draw the library and create infinite tokens. A suite of low-cost protection spells shields Ygra from removal, allowing the deck to close out the game reliably by Turn 7.
