Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Polymorph Control list commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. By excluding all low-mana utility creatures, every Polymorph activation from Jace's -3 ability or cards like Mass Polymorph and Proteus Staff guarantees hitting a game-warping bomb, including Archon of Cruelty, Vilis, Broker of Blood, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and Serra's Emissary. The early game focuses on ramping through 15 efficient mana rocks and deploying non-creature token generators such as Skrelv's Hive, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Lingering Souls. On turn 4, Jace enters and immediately converts a token into a terrifying flying threat. The deck protects its engine using a suite of free commander interaction including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Deadly Rollick. Once established, multiple flying beaters combined with Archfiend of Despair rapidly close the game through combat damage by turn 7 while Jace's static ability taxes opposing retaliation.
