Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck harnesses Doctor Doom, King of Latveria to convert combat steps and card filtering into steady life drain and overwhelming board presence. By targeting Villains with Doom's combat ability, the deck triggers connive to sculpt hands, grow creatures with +1/+1 counters, and burn each opponent whenever land cards are discarded. The strategy multiplies these triggers through nonlegendary clone effects like Spark Double, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, and Irenicus's Vile Duplication, creating a dense board of evasive menace threats. Supporting artifacts and enchantments such as Containment Construct, Crucible of Worlds, and Teferi's Ageless Insight break parity on discard costs. A focused interaction package of efficient countermagic and spot removal protects key engines while disrupting opposing game plans until a coordinated combat assault closes out the game.
