Birds by veNtriX

Format: Commander

Commander: Kastral, the Windcrested

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helmed by Kastral, the Windcrested, this Azorius Bird tribal list plays a straightforward air-force tempo game: deploy evasive fliers, connect through the sky, and convert every successful attack into card draw, board-wide pump, or graveyard recursion via the commander's "choose one" trigger. The shell leans on redundant combat-draw engines such as Kindred Discovery, Enduring Curiosity, Reconnaissance Mission, and Bident of Thassa, then feeds that card flow into an overwhelming flying army produced by Emeria Angel, Murmuration, and Falcon and Redwing. Anthems close the game: Empyrean Eagle, Steel-Plume Marshal, Kangee, Sky Warden, Gravitational Shift, and True Conviction turn a wide board into a lethal double-strike alpha. Recovery is baked in through Kastral's reanimation mode, Jackdaw Savior, Starfall Invocation, and Perch Protection. There are no infinite combos; the plan is to out-value the table in the air and finish with one massive trample-free but evasion-laden swing.
