Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis Reanimator shell helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord, combining graveyard reanimation lines with Ring temptation synergies and Wraith tribal pressure. The primary game plan accelerates mana on early turns, deposits game-ending threats like Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, or Ancient Brass Dragon into the graveyard, and reanimates them on Turn 4 with spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead. Sauron, the Dark Lord provides continuous board presence by amassing an Orc Army whenever opponents cast spells, while converting Army combat connections into full hand refills. Lord of the Nazgûl and nine copies of Nazgûl generate compounding board buffs and Wraith tokens, while cards like Filth paired with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth ensure unblockable alpha strikes. Robust countermagic, draw engines, and asymmetric taxing effects allow the deck to outvalue and close out tables decisively.
