Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Orzhov combo list designed to race toward game-ending infinite life-drain and damage loops. Commanded by Athreos, God of Passage, the deck leverages black fast mana rituals and a dense tutor suite to deploy explosive card draw engines such as Ad Nauseam, Necropotence, and Necrodominance. These engines quickly find the primary win condition: Heliod, Sun-Crowned combined with Walking Ballista, which generates infinite ping damage at instant speed. The deck also features redundant two-card combos including Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, Sanguine Bond, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, as well as Leonin Relic-Warder reanimation loops. To guarantee execution, the deck uses proactive protection pieces like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Ranger-Captain of Eos to shut down opposing interaction before comboing off. Efficient creature removal and flash threats provide utility while assembling decisive wins.
