Cycle Horizons by Psyga315

Format: Commander

Commander: Kess, Dissident Mage

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kess, Dissident Mage leads a Grixis value-control deck that wins by turning graveyard spell recursion into card advantage and then closing with evasive combat damage. The primary plan is to use Kess to cast draw spells twice, fill the graveyard, and power Thundering Djinn while controlling the board with cheap removal and free counters. Secondary paths use Urza, Lord High Artificer and Imskir Iron-Eater as an artifact mana/damage engine, suspend effects like Profane Tutor and Glimpse of Tomorrow to cheat resources, and ninjas/haste threats for pressure. Ral, Monsoon Mage // Ral, Leyline Prodigy acts as a hidden commander: its front face reduces spell costs, and the Leyline Prodigy back face is a payoff after chaining instants and sorceries.
