Deck overview

Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire gives the deck repeatable, combat-dependent tutoring, but the tutor places cards on top and does not solve the deck's mana and draw requirements by itself. The main high-value checkpoint is an active Bolas's Citadel supported by six or more mana, a healthy life total, and top-card selection from Sensei's Divining Top, Stargaze, or Resentful Revelation. That engine can generate a strong burst of spells, but the list lacks a dependable deterministic payoff, so it cannot receive a reliable table-kill clock. The secondary plan uses Cabal Coffers and Exsanguinate, with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose as a damage amplifier, but it requires more land development and specific access. Discard and sacrifice effects such as Oppression, Bottomless Pit, Painful Quandary, and Tergrid, God of Fright create meaningful attrition without forming a consistent lock. The deck is strongest in long games where reanimation and sweepers can repeatedly trade up.
