Birds (duplicated from apploops) by AnnoyedOrange

Format: Commander

Commander: Gwaihir, Greatest of the Eagles

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gwaihir, Greatest of the Eagles leads a mono-white lifegain-and-token deck. The plan is to gain 3+ life each turn, convert that into 3/3 Bird tokens via Gwaihir's end-step trigger, and swing with a growing flying army. Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus Walking Ballista (with The Destined White Mage to create the first extra counter) is the clean infinite-damage backup, while Approach of the Second Sun with Reprieve offers a noncombat win. The commander is the keystone of the primary token plan, but Heliod and the Monarch engine let the deck keep functioning if Gwaihir is removed. No hidden double-faced commander is used; the modal lands are support spells.
