Oloro, Ageless Ascetic by Meecrob

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Esper lifegain control deck converts life gain into card advantage and eventually an infinite life-drain loop. Oloro, Ageless Ascetic supplies a steady trickle of life from the command zone even if he is never cast, letting you sit on a healthy cushion while pillowfort enchantments and removal slow opponents. The primary path is assembling Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with a drain-on-life-gain payoff such as Vito or Marauding Blight-Priest, triggering on your next upkeep. Backup plans include Aetherflux Reservoir, Exsanguinate, and a large Serra Ascendant. Card draw from Phyrexian Arena, Black Market Connections, and Oloro's battlefield ability ensure the deck keeps pace.
