Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck utilizes Gollum the Abandoned as a recurring engine piece, life-drain source, and sacrifice enabler. The strategy revolves around sacrificing Gollum or other reusable creatures like Reassembling Skeleton, then recurring them from the graveyard to trigger payoffs such as Desecrated Tomb, Tormod, the Desecrator, and Undead Hand Ninja. As tokens accumulate, traditional aristocrat engines like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Syr Konrad, the Grim continuously bleed opponents. Burst payoffs like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and wide token combat close out games in the mid-to-late stages. The deck features strong redundancy across its core roles, steady card draw through creature deaths, and instant-speed revival spells for protection. While it lacks generic tutors and noncreature removal, its resilient graveyard loops and steady life drain present an inevitable clock against fair multiplayer tables.
