Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis Midrange Reanimator deck led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It blends relentless combat pressure with asymmetric graveyard engines and Ring-tempting synergies. The nine Nazgûl provide incredible density, buffing all Wraiths whenever the Ring tempts you while triggering Sauron's ability to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards. The deck uses fast mana, rituals, and tutors like Entomb and Diabolic Intent to either accelerate Sauron onto the battlefield on turn 4 or reanimate devastating threats like Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. Once online, recurring discard triggers from Sauron feed Archfiend of Ifnir to wipe opposing boards and fill the graveyard for mass resurrection spells like Living Death and Rise of the Dark Realms. Backed by cheap counterspells and Sauron's punishing Ward cost, the deck locks down the board and crushes opponents with massive combat damage.
