Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a dedicated Aristocrats combo deck centered on infinite persist loops. Its primary plan combines a persist creature such as Putrid Goblin or Obstinate Gargoyle with a counter-canceling effect such as Vizier of Remedies, Solemnity, or Cathars' Crusade, and a sacrifice outlet. When sacrificed, the creature returns to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter, allowing infinite death and enter-the-battlefield triggers. With Blasting Station or a drain payoff like Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, or Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, this generates instant lethal damage to all opponents. The commander, Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, provides convoke ramp on its front face and acts as a backup persist enabler on its reverse face. Backed by universal tutors, efficient creature removal, and low-cost reanimation, the deck consistently threatens a Turn 4 win while retaining resilience against board wipes.
