Deck overview

This Jund lands deck uses Szarel, Genesis Shepherd to turn the graveyard into an endless land supply while converting sacrificed permanents into massive creature buffs. The game plan accelerates mana in the opening turns using land-fetch spells and self-sacrificing fetchlands. Once Szarel or a secondary engine like Soul of Windgrace or The Gitrog Monster lands on Turn 4 or 5, the deck loops lands repeatedly from the graveyard. This fuels explosive landfall and sacrifice payoffs, including Titania, Protector of Argoth, Omnath, Locus of Rage, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. These engines generate large armies of 5/3 and 5/5 tokens, while cards like Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest and Mayhem Devil turn every sacrificed land into +1/+1 counters and direct damage. The deck overruns the table through multiple combat steps and combat damage around Turn 8, using rich recursion to rebuild quickly after opposing sweepers.
