Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis Villain tribal deck, helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, is a value-driven midrange strategy that leverages the connive mechanic and discard synergies. The commander's primary ability triggers life loss from discarding land cards, while his combat activation gives a Villain menace and connive each turn, generating card selection and incremental advantage. The deck aims to control the board through removal, draw engines like Rhystic Study and Monument to Endurance, and a dense Villain creature suite. Wins come from combat damage, the extra-turn ability of Kang the Conqueror, or the Plan enchantments (Construct a Cosmic Cube and Doom Reigns Supreme). It is a slow, resilient value pile that out-grinds opponents over many turns.
