Deck overview

Helmed by Slimefoot, the Stowaway, this Golgari deck is a Saproling aristocrats build that drowns the table in 1/1 tokens and converts every death into damage. Slimefoot is simultaneously a token generator and the primary payoff: each Saproling death drains each opponent for 1, so the deck's job is to produce and sacrifice as many Saprolings as possible through outlets like Thallid Soothsayer, Bone Splinters, and Fungal Plots. A parallel graveyard-matters package-Moldgraf Millipede, Rhizome Lurcher, Cauldron's Gift, and similar undergrowth cards-turns incidental self-mill into large mid-game attackers as a backup clock. A defensive suite of reach and deathtouch spiders buys time. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through attrition, repeated drains, and combat damage from mid-size creatures.
