Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER at the helm of an aristocrats engine that blends continuous token sacrifice, severe board attrition, and compact combo finishes. In the early turns, low-cost token generators such as Bitterblossom, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Ophiomancer supply steady fodder to fuel Sephiroth's draw trigger and drain opponents. The deck transitions into the mid-game by locking down opposing creature boards through asymmetric stax pieces like Grave Pact and Braids, Cabal Minion. It seals victories either through sustained aristocrat drain alongside Sephiroth's transformed emblem, a massive Torment of Hailfire, storming with Bolas's Citadel, or executing an infinite drain loop with Exquisite Blood and Enduring Tenacity. Strong black tutoring ensures high consistency across all game stages.
