Deck overview

This Azorius deck is a dedicated flying tribal combat engine commanded by Kastral, the Windcrested. The game plan revolves around curving out with efficient, evasive Bird creatures and cost reducers like Watcher of the Spheres and Stormscape Familiar, setting the stage for an early Kastral deployment. Once Kastral enters, connecting with evasive flyers triggers powerful modal choices: drawing extra cards, buffing the entire flock with +1/+1 counters, or reanimating key Birds from the graveyard. Supported by coastal piracy effects such as Bident of Thassa and Curiosity Crafter, the deck generates immense card velocity while scaling flying combat damage via anthems like Empyrean Eagle, Kangee, Sky Warden, and Steel-Plume Marshal. Defensive tools like Flawless Maneuver and Dazzling Denial safeguard the flock against board wipes and critical removal as it closes out games in the air.
