Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Howling Abomination is a spellslinger beatdown deck. The primary plan is to cast the commander early, then chain cheap one-mana pump/cantrips that target it, growing it into a hasty trampling threat while its trigger deals 2 damage to each opponent and the spells draw cards. Secondary paths use Zada, Hedron Grinder and Mirrorwing Dragon-the hidden commander and its twin-to copy every single-target spell across the board, and a Haze of Rage + Storm-Kiln Artist buyback loop to generate Treasures and storm count, finishing with Grapeshot or commander combat spread by Kediss. Protection spells keep the key creature alive; the deck is fast, explosive, and commander-centric but can go off without it.
