Deck overview

Urza, Chief Artificer commands an Esper artifact midrange deck built around generating and scaling massive Construct artifact creature tokens. The game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive artifact mana rocks, artifact lands, and low-cost creatures in the opening turns to rapidly lower Urza's casting cost through affinity for artifact creatures. Once on the battlefield, Urza creates a Construct token at every end step whose power and toughness equal the number of artifacts controlled, while granting all artifact creatures menace to bypass opposing defenses. The deck amplifies this swarm using token multipliers and standalone engines such as Simulacrum Synthesizer, Thousand Moons Smithy, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Cybermen Squadron. A robust interaction suite of targeted exile spells keeps opposing threats at bay, while permanent-based shielding from Leonin Abunas, Padeem, Consul of Innovation, and Darksteel Forge secures the board. The deck wins by overwhelming all three opponents across successive combat waves.
