Deck overview

This deck is a Boros spellslinger and burn archetype led by Monica Rambeau // Photon, Living Light. The primary plan develops early mana and pinger creatures, transforms Monica into Photon to grant hexproof and team-wide prowess buffs, and chains cheap burn spells to pressure opposing life totals. Damage multipliers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight dramatically scale every shock and ping, turning single-mana cantrips into lethal table-wide damage. Secondary token engines like Aligned Heart and Rite of the Dragoncaller create wide boards that benefit from Photon's +1/+1 counters, while cards like Akroma's Will provide decisive combat finishes. Defensively, the deck relies on spot removal, Chandra's Incinerator for board attrition, and targeted protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Deflecting Swat. It operates at a consistent casual synergy level, closing games through compounding combat and noncombat damage.
