Deck overview

This is an Abzan toughness-matters deck helmed by Doran, Besieged by Time, built around walls, Treefolk, and high-toughness creatures that assign combat damage equal to their toughness. The primary plan is to deploy a toughness-matters enabler - Assault Formation, Huatli, the Sun's Heart, Felothar the Steadfast, Baldin, Century Herdmaster, or Bedrock Tortoise - then swing with oversized, low-power bodies for massive damage. Secondary win conditions include Tree of Perdition's life-total exchange, Betor, Kin to All's life-loss trigger at 40+ total toughness, and drain effects from Jaws of Defeat and Catapult Fodder. The deck is a resilient midrange value engine with strong recursion (Colfenor's Urn, Reunion of the House, Dusk // Dawn) and board-level protection in The Walls of Ba Sing Se.
