Deck overview

This deck leverages The Mycotyrant to convert rapid self-mill and descend triggers into an overwhelming swarm of Fungus tokens and lethal combat or aristocrat damage. During the opening turns, early ramp and mill pieces like Hermit Druid, Stitcher's Supplier, and Skull Prophet stock the graveyard. Casting The Mycotyrant turns each milled permanent into a 1/1 Fungus token at your end step while inflating the commander's power. By Turn 4, the deck establishes an engine combining token generation with mana converters like Cryptolith Rite or Insidious Roots and card draw from Skullclamp or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Critical onset arrives on Turn 5 through a devastating Craterhoof Behemoth reanimation via Dread Return, an activated Beastmaster Ascension, or a Syr Konrad, the Grim mill-drain loop. Opponents receive one response cycle before a lethal wide attack or direct life drain eliminates the table on Turn 6. The deck recovers smoothly through graveyard recursion, though it remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and sweepers.
