Deck overview

This mono-green deck is commanded by Gargos, Vicious Watcher and focuses on deploying overwhelming Hydra threats at steep mana discounts. A dense 1-2 CMC ramp suite accelerates Gargos onto the battlefield by Turn 4. Gargos reduces the cost of all Hydra spells by {4}, transforming {X}-cost creatures like Kalonian Hydra, Primordial Hydra, and Goldvein Hydra into massive, low-cost beaters. Persistent draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Terrasymbiosis, and Up the Beanstalk refill the hand as high-power creatures enter the battlefield. Gargos protects the board through reactive fight triggers whenever your creatures are targeted. Combat damage finishes the game by Turn 7 with trample and counter doublers like Unbound Flourishing and Branching Evolution.
