Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a highly tuned combo-control build helmed by Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The primary plan is to leverage Squall's combat-damage recursion to grind value, but the deck's real teeth lie in a dense suite of graveyard-based infinite combos that live entirely in the 99. With Buried Alive, Entomb, and seven distinct combo lines, the deck can reanimate pieces like Leonin Relic-Warder and Phyrexian Altar to generate infinite mana or drain loops. A stax/tax shell of Deafening Silence, Archon of Emeria, and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben slows opponents while the pilot assembles a win. Squall's double-strike and recursion are a secondary value channel, not the primary engine. The deck eschews high-CMC threats for a blisteringly low curve (2.11 average MV without lands) and a heavy concentration of tutors, rituals, and cheap interaction, making it a resilient, fast combo machine.
