Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck builds a wide Vampire board using eminence without needing to cast its commander, then wins through life-gain drain loops or aristocrat drains. Edgar in the command zone creates a 1/1 Vampire for each Vampire spell, and on the battlefield gives haste and +1/+1 counters when he attacks. The primary plan is to assemble a two-card life loop - Bloodthirsty Conqueror or Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Sanguine Bond, or Marauding Blight-Priest - where any life gain drains the table infinitely. Backup paths are combat with lords and Akroma's Will, and a Gravecrawler plus Phyrexian Altar loop with Blood Artist effects. Bolas's Citadel and Skullclamp provide card advantage to rebuild.
