Deck overview

This Mardu deck is helmed by Vihaan, Goldwaker and focuses on weaponizing Treasure tokens for explosive combat damage and aristocrat life drain. Early turns establish mana advantage and card flow using low-cost token generators like Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, and Caretaker's Talent. Once Vihaan enters the battlefield, every accumulated Treasure turns into a 3/3 Construct Assassin with haste and vigilance at the start of combat, creating an instant army without sacrificing mana utility. The deck complements this wide combat pressure with potent aristocrat payoffs such as Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Mayhem Devil, which punish opponents whenever tokens enter or leave the battlefield. For compact closing potential, the deck includes a two-card combo of Storm-Kiln Artist and Chain of Smog. Robust protection spells like Clever Concealment and Dawn's Truce keep the board secure against opposing sweepers.
