Rivaz of the Claw v1

Format: Commander

Commander: Rivaz of the Claw

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon reanimator list helmed by Rivaz of the Claw. Rivaz is a three-mana engine with menace who taps for two mana toward Dragon spells and lets you recast one Dragon from the graveyard each turn. The ninety-nine pairs a high curve of flyers with cheap graveyard setup - Entomb, Buried Alive - and a full reanimation suite (Animate Dead, Reanimate, Agadeem's Awakening, Sneak Attack) so the haymakers rarely pay retail. Primary wins are the Worldgorger Dragon plus Animate Dead flicker loop, repeated Kokusho, the Evening Star drains, and burst damage as Dragons (and their copies) enter under Terror of the Peaks, Dragon Tempest, or Scourge of Valkas. A backup combat plan floods the air with Lathliss, Dragon Queen and Utvara Hellkite, usually with haste from Anger. Rivaz is convenient mana and a free recast, but every combo line lives in the ninety-nine.
