Commander: Bello, Bard of the Brambles

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Bello, Bard of the Brambles is a Gruul midrange/tempo commander that weaponizes high-mana artifacts and enchantments. The deck accelerates into Bello, resolves 4+ mana non-Equipment artifacts and non-Aura enchantments, and Bello turns them into 4/4 indestructible hasty attackers that draw cards on combat damage. Damage multipliers and double-strike effects stack multiplicatively, turning a small board into a one-shot lethal swing. Secondary paths include Primal Surge to dump the entire library into play, monarch/court damage, and a disruptive stax package (Stranglehold, Elephant Grass, Grafdigger's Cage). Without Bello, the strategy is severely impaired: he is the animator, draw engine, and enabler, making the deck highly dependent on its commander.
