Deck overview

This is a Grixis "crime" midrange-combo deck helmed by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. Every spell that targets an opponent, their permanents, or their graveyard is a crime; Marchesa converts those crimes into cheap card selection by paying 1 to dig two and keep one. The deck layers efficient interaction and loot/cantrips into two clear win paths: classic Niv-Mizzet, Parun / Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + Curiosity / Tandem Lookout draw-damage loops, and a graveyard axis that bins combo pieces with Buried Alive / Gifts Ungiven then reanimates or recasts them via Victimize, Lively Dirge, Kess, Dissident Mage, and Past in Flames. Secondary pressure comes from crime payoffs (Kaervek, the Punisher, Magda, the Hoardmaster, Forsaken Miner) and token fodder for Goblin Bombardment. The curve is low (AMV ~2.31) and the rock suite is dense, so the deck plays as interactive Grixis control that suddenly ends the game once a Niv package connects.
