Deck overview

This is a Sultai graveyard-value deck centered on Teval, the Balanced Scale. Its early game uses land ramp, self-mill, and utility creatures to place lands and reanimation targets in the graveyard. Around turn 5, Teval can attack, mill three cards, return a land tapped, and create a Zombie Druid. The deck then compounds that value with Teval's Judgment, Ancient Greenwarden, World Shaper, Conduit of Worlds, and landfall payoffs such as Avenger of Zendikar. Reanimation from Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Living Death gives the deck strong recovery and occasional explosive turns. Its main weakness is pressure: value and token growth do not produce a compact kill, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord needs a large graveyard creature, fodder, and substantial mana. The deck can dominate a long game, but it lacks a reliable early finish or total lockout.
