Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet Voltron strategy built around partner commanders Okaun, Eye of Chaos and Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom. The game plan focuses on assembling Krark's Thumb, which allows you to flip two coins and ignore the unfavorable outcome. This modification raises your coin flip win rate from 50% to 75%, turning random chance into a dependable engine. At the beginning of combat on your turn, Okaun flips coins until a loss occurs, doubling his power and toughness with every win. With Krark's Thumb in play, Okaun regularly reaches 24 or 48 power on turn 5, threatening lethal commander damage in a single combat step. Evasion equipment like Whispersilk Cloak and force multipliers like Chandra's Ignition or Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar let you eliminate opponents individually or wipe out the entire table at once, while Zndrsplt refills your hand with fresh cards on every won flip.
