Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mardu aggro deck centered on Neriv, Heart of the Storm, which doubles all damage dealt by creatures that entered the battlefield this turn. The list maximizes this replacement effect through dense suites of flying haste creatures, recurring Phoenixes, and myriad mechanics that create attacking token copies. Dense 2-CMC ramp reliably powers out Neriv on Turn 3, setting up aggressive entries on Turn 4 and critical combat escalations on Turn 5 with cards like Duke Ulder Ravengard and Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest. The deck closes games quickly through evasive combat damage, applying heavy pressure across all three opponents simultaneously. While resilient against sorcery-speed sweepers thanks to inherent graveyard recursion, the strategy remains vulnerable to instant-speed removal targeting Neriv and relies on raw combat velocity rather than hard control or combo finishes.
