Deck overview

This deck is a Simic engine list centered on Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood. It leverages +1/+1 counters, flood counters, and charge counters to generate massive untap value at each end step. Low-cost ramp spells accelerate Xolatoyac onto the battlefield by Turn 4. From there, the deck converts untap triggers into overwhelming mana advantage and oppressive board control. It can lock opponents completely out of the game on Turn 5 using Stasis, breaking parity by untapping counter-bearing lands every turn. Alternatively, the deck can generate infinite mana using Incubation Druid or Kami of Whispered Hopes paired with untap auras like Freed from the Real and Pemmin's Aura. Infinite mana fuels Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy to place massive threats like Hullbreaker Horror onto the battlefield, clearing opposing boards and closing the game on Turn 6. Robust counterspells and protective spells ensure high resilience against opposing interaction.
