Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy 5-color spellslinger combo deck built around the Prepare mechanic and Codie, Ravenous Codex. It leverages low-cost ramp to deploy Prepare creatures and engine centerpieces ahead of curve. The deck creates massive resource advantages using Vega, the Watcher and Magecraft triggers from Storm-Kiln Artist and Witherbloom Apprentice. Its primary win condition is an infinite mana and blink combo centered on Displacer Kitten and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song. Blinking Firesinger refreshes its prepared status on entry, generating infinite red mana and unlimited cast triggers. From there, the deck converts the loop into an immediate table kill using repeated Lightning Bolt copies from Emeritus of Conflict, a massive Comet Storm, or Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. Backed by cheap interaction and flexible protection spells, the deck reliably pivots between explosive storm turns and resilient midrange card advantage.
