Creature Love by Chef

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Witherbloom, the Balancer heads a creature-heavy Golgari midrange deck that floods the board with mana dorks and Pest tokens, using that creature count to discount the commander and every instant or sorcery. The usual finish is a Beastmaster Ascension alpha strike, with noncreature spells draining via Black Mage's Rod and The Destined Black Mage as a secondary path; graveyard recursion from Cauldron of Essence and Behold the Sinister Six! keeps the plan alive after wipes. The commander is both a flying deathtouch threat and a cost-reduction engine, but the deck functions without it if the board remains wide.
