Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Wheels and Group Slug strategy commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The main plan is to convert card draw into a lethal table-wide win condition. By establishing Nekusar or backup punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Underworld Dreams, and Fate Unraveler, the deck turns symmetrical card draw into asymmetric damage. Resolving signature wheel spells like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Reforge the Soul deals massive bursts of direct damage to all opponents while disrupting their hands. Continuous engines like Teferi's Puzzle Box create an escalating damage clock every turn cycle, while payoffs like Waste Not and Tergrid, God of Fright extract massive mana and permanent advantage from mass discards. While capable of explosive damage bursts, the deck's reliance on refilling opponents' hands requires careful sequencing, as gifting opponents fresh cards frequently supplies them with answers to remove fragile key creatures.
